Born in Nottingham, UK, Dr Jamnagerwalla moved to Australia in his early years and completed all his schooling locally in the St George area. He graduated from medicine through the University of New South Wales and embarked on surgical training through St George Hospital in Kogarah. After completing his Fellowship in General Surgery in 2010, Dr Jamnagerwalla spent time overseas in the United Kingdom at Colchester, a well-known centre within the UK for laparoscopic colorectal surgery. Upon returning he was accepted into the colorectal training program through the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ), spending his first year of post-fellowship speciality training at the world-reknowned St Marks Hospital in London, and his second year in Melbourne.
Dr Jamnagerwalla has always enjoyed living and working by the water, and his roots have brought him back to the area to establish practice and residence.
